Dogs Helped so Far

Every painting part of the “Art to Help Dogs Project” directly supports the care, rescue, and sterilisation of dogs in need. Below, you’ll find photos of some of the wonderful dogs who’ve already received help thanks to your support—each one a testament to the difference art and compassion can make together.

Dogs Sterilised

Thanks to the kind-hearted people who supported this project, these dogs can now enjoy calm, peaceful lives—free from the stress of constant reproduction and without adding to the endless cycle of unwanted puppies.

In other cases, the artwork helped dogs in urgent need—providing vital medical treatment, emergency care, and a chance at recovery. Below, you’ll meet some of the brave souls who’ve been helped on their healing journey.

Buzz

Buzz suffers from a range of allergies. Several donations helped Benafim dogs to pay his very high vet bills.

Buzz lives now with a foster family in an environment, better suited for his medical needs. His treatments are ongoing.

Cookie

This is Cookie, a dog found barely alive and taken care of by Benafim Dog Rescue. I am proud that some of my paintings could help to pay for his recovery.
Cookie has now fully recovered and found a loving home. My art did help paying his vet bills along the way.

When Cookie was brought to Benafim Rescue Dogs he was too weak to stand up. But with love and patience, his condition slowly improved.

Several art works helped Cookie to undergo medical treatments for his various health problems. Cookie’s recovery took many month.

He was adopted in 2024 and thanks to the dedication of Benafim dogs, he now enjoys a happy life in a loving home.

Two times “Art to Help Dogs” has delivered dog food to Benafim Dogs Rescue

Walter

A painting raised a donation towards the treatment of a dog named Walter. He suffered from a stroke, just days after he was adopted.

One donation helped to pay towards little Walters vet bills. He suffered a stroke after a major surgery and is now recovering in his forever home.

Under the care of his adopter Walter is making progress.

Tiny Shelter Albufeira

One of my paintings raised money for a delivery of dog food to Tiny Shelter Albufeira

The first two artworks of the project helped Tiny Shelter Albufeira building their new dog shelter and delivered some dog food and a very much needed trap for large size dogs which was made by my kind husband.
