Shades of blue, light turquoise, and soft pink blend to suggest a journey—both inward and outward

Delicate Portuguese azulejo patterns emerge in layered textures, some flat, others raised, anchoring the piece in cultural memory.

Below, expressive palette knife work adds abstract depth.

The composition radiates warmth and light, suggesting both arrival and belonging. A piece that invites reflection and a sense of return.

Blue Hour

In deep shades of blue and turquoise, this piece draws the viewer into a quiet, contemplative space.

The delicate Arabesque pattern, paired with textured, cloud-like forms and subtle glass accents, creates a sense of elegance and depth.

Its calming presence and ever-changing reflections make it a timeless addition to any interior—a painting that continues to reveal itself over time.

Sintra Gardens

A rich, multi-layered painting inspired by the serene subtropical atmosphere of Montserrat Garden in Sintra.

It captures the sense of unexpected wonder found beneath ancient trees, among bird calls and running water.

Through mixed media—palette knife textures, floral stencils, fragments of snakeskin, and Portuguese patterns—this detailed piece invites the viewer to lose themselves in a lush, almost secret world.

A tribute to the beauty of nature and the calm it brings.

Golden Afternoon

A layered reflection on beauty, travel, and the way memories interlace across time and place.

Soft blues and greens form the base for Moorish-inspired stencils, applied in rich navy and warm gold.

These elements echo architectural patterns seen in Portugal and Venice, blending traditional motifs with contemporary textures.

This is a painting about connection—between cultures, experiences, and the golden hours that shape us.

Early Spring Walk

This painting was inspired by a re-energizing walk along the beach in early spring.

The sky was blue, the air still fresh, and there was a light white foam riding the tops of the waves. Further out, I could see small whitecaps dancing in the distance. The sea gulls called overhead, adding their voices to the rhythm of wind and water.

At this time of year, the Algarve coastline feels open and almost untouched. I wanted to capture that sense of space —the quiet beauty of a beach not yet filled with summer footsteps.

Beneath the painted seascape lies a structured layer of Azulejo tile patterns—subtle and textured—grounding the scene in Portuguese heritage.
