Made using real skeleton petals - natures lace

As the flower ages, nature gradually dissolves the soft tissue, leaving behind only the delicate skeletal structure. These “skeleton petals” are incredibly beautiful, but also extremely fragile.

This painting incorporates genuine hydrangea petals.

Working with them requires great care and patience, making their presence in the artwork all the more meaningful.

A painting for those who still believe in moonlit magic - who see the poetry in glow-worms and carry that light softly in their hearts.

The inspiration for this painting reaches all the way back to my childhood.

Every year in June, around Saint John’s Night, something magical would happen: glow-worms would appear, their tiny lights flickering through the warm summer darkness.

I was completely mesmerized. I believe a little part of that wide-eyed child lives on in this painting.

Holding on to that childlike wonder, even as we grow older, allows us to see beauty in small things. It gives us the quiet gift of slipping into a fairy tale—if only for a moment.

“True goodness is like the glow-worm in this, that it shines most when no eyes except those of heaven are upon it.”

Julius Charles Hare

Framing Suggestion

This painting is created on a flat-edged canvas with a depth of 1.5 cm. The edges are fully painted, allowing it to be displayed beautifully without a frame.

For a more refined presentation, the painting is also available in a high-quality wooden shadow frame in black with a subtle gold face.
The golden accent gently reflects the artwork’s own highlights, creating a sense of harmony and continuity.

With its elegant, contemporary design, the shadow frame enhances the piece without overpowering it — giving the impression that the painting is softly floating within.
