Made using real flower petals

As the flower ages, nature gradually dissolves the soft tissue, leaving behind only the delicate skeletal structure. These “skeleton petals” are incredibly beautiful, but also extremely fragile.

This painting incorporates petals of two types of hydrangeas and fragments of shed snake skin.

Working with them requires great care and patience, making their presence in the artwork all the more meaningful.

A painting for those who find beauty in change - the soft light of transition, the quiet strength in letting go.

In our southern Portuguese garden, the end of summer arrives not with a chill, but with a soft golden shift. The sun still lingers, but the air feels different - lighter, kinder.

The small flowers that have stood through months of heat begin to let go. Carried by the first gentle breeze of September, they rise once more before disappearing into the glow.

September Glow is a tribute to this quiet transition, to the beauty of resilience and release. It’s a reminder that in nature, as in life, every ending holds a trace of light - and something new is always beginning.

Framing Suggestion

This painting is created on a flat-edged canvas with a depth of 1.5 cm. The edges are fully painted, allowing it to be displayed beautifully without a frame.

For a more refined presentation, the painting is also available in a high-quality wooden shadow frame in black with a subtle gold face.
The golden accent gently reflects the artwork’s own highlights, creating a sense of harmony and continuity.

With its elegant, contemporary design, the shadow frame enhances the piece without overpowering it — giving the impression that the painting is softly floating within.
