Made using real skeleton petals - natures lace

As I wander through the garden, I often collect small remnants—hydrangea petals, fragments of crocosmia bulbs, delicate skeleton leaves, even the translucent beauty of shed snake skin. These materials, each holding their own story, find their way into my studio and, eventually, into my work.

A painting for those who appreciate quiet beauty—early light, soft textures, and the calm of a warm summer morning in the garden.

In August, as the climate shifts in our garden, the early mornings bring a fine mist that lingers just above the ground. When the sun begins to rise, golden-green light cuts through the haze, casting soft beams across the garden.

This painting, composed almost like a collage, is a way of capturing this haze and quiet wonder of the garden. It’s my attempt to preserve the fleeting beauty I encounter daily and translate it into something lasting on canvas.

“Natural Beauties” is for those who find beauty in quiet moments and natural detail—for anyone who’s paused to watch morning mist drift through a garden. It’s a gentle homage to an Algarve garden and to all who feel connected to the stillness and subtle wonder of the natural world.

“Blessed are they who see beautiful things in humble places where others see nothing.”

Camille Pissaro

Framing Suggestion

This painting is created on a flat-edged canvas with a depth of 1.5 cm. The edges are fully painted, allowing it to be displayed beautifully without a frame.

For a more refined presentation, the painting is also available in a high-quality wooden shadow frame in black with a subtle gold face.
The golden accent gently reflects the artwork’s own highlights, creating a sense of harmony and continuity.

With its elegant, contemporary design, the shadow frame enhances the piece without overpowering it — giving the impression that the painting is softly floating within.
