Where art meets the vine

Monastrell is one of Spain’s oldest red grapes, known for its dark fruit, earthy strength, and deep roots in Mediterranean soil.

Here, its aromas and origins are transformed into texture and colour—inviting you to see, feel, and taste the story behind the vine.

A painting for those who live slowly and intentionally—where wine, art, and memory create moments that stay with you.

I was drawn to the richness of Monastrell’s aromas—black fruit, liquorice, and wild summer heat.

These impressions took shape in blues and deep charcoal. It’s a painting shaped by scent, memory, and the complexity of the grape.

“Sometimes the most beautiful things grow in the harshest places.”

This work is a tribute to grounding and connection - to evenings that stretch into night, to shared meals, full glasses, and unspoken understanding. It celebrates depth and presence, a slow rhythm of life where stories and silence are equally welcome.

Did you know?

Monastrell grapes love the sun. They ripen best in the heat and dryness of southern Spain — so much so that they’re often harvested later than most other varieties. Their thick skins help protect the juice inside, giving the wines their deep colour and bold flavour. A grape with real character.
